Horizon EX 57 Elliptical Trainer Review
The EX57 is the cheapest machine in the Horizon elliptical trainer series. It features all the improvements and upgrades of the earlier models, including EX55, EX56 and EX58. By its long-time experience through many successful models, the Horizon Fitness has realized how to make a great cardio machine without breaking the bank. Although this model is designed for home use, it is built in the light-commercial grade standard.
The Horizon EX57 elliptical trainer features an optimal 14.3-lb (14.5kg) flywheel allowing stride length of 18" (45.7cm). It provides a smooth, fluid motion. The frame accommodates users up to 275 lbs (125kg). With the Horizon you can't go wrong. The elliptical machines in EX series were good enough even before two generations. You can imagine how looks like the latest model, which is the crown of collecting the experience from previous models for many years.
The Horizon EX-57 is equipped with ECB magnetic brakes, allowing 8 levels of electronically controlled resistance. The pedals are placed close together, because as you walk or jog, your feet are also just a few inches apart. It makes the motions more natural and puts a less stress on user's joints. The pedals are positioned low to the ground making it easy to step on and off the machine. A large and clear LCD display is easy to read even from a distance. You have the option to choose from 9 preset workout programs, including Goal Option (time, distance, calories) and Terrain Type (manual, hills, reverse train).
For several years in a row, the Horizon EX-57 was voted "Best Buy" in category below $500, by our visitors! It got the same rating by real users and most online reviewers.
