The Lifecore LC 985VG elliptical cross trainer is considered as the best buy fitness machine in many reviews a few years in a row. It was rated by a Leading Consumer Magazine as the "Best Over All" for 2009. So, let's do a review and see why it has so high rating. In short, for less than a thousand dollars you'll get an exercise machine that supports users up to 300 lbs (136kg). Therefore, you have nothing to worry about even if you are a "heavy" person.

The LC985VG is very similar to the old, successful models from LC series. Keeping the old, proven design, upgrading it with new, improved options, LifeCORE Fitness has made an appealing, inexpensive and durable machine that is a hit on the market of elliptical trainers. It is a compact designed elliptical trainer with just a 52-inches long footprint. The efficient design allows you to use it in smaller areas, virtually in any room in your home. The foot pedals are easily adjustable to accommodate users with shorter or longer strides. The computer console also supports 4 user ID profiles so all members of your family can ride it without interrupting your own data at the same time.

What we like: The Lifecore LC 985VG cross trainer is equipped with bearings instead of bushings In all moving parts. It provides a smoother stride

What we don't like: The price. There is a wide range of feature-rich elliptical trainers at this price point. We suggest you to consider the Diamondback 1060ef. If you prefer a rear-drive machine, see also the Horizon EX-59 (best buy in its category).

Where to Buy Lifecore ellipticals

Lifecore has reduced the elliptical production, offering only two models (outdated and too expensive, in our humble opinion). For a similar price you can get a much better machine by other reputable brands. We suggest you to consider Horizon Fitness or even Diamondback Fitness, instead. However, you can buy Lifecore ellipticals on Amazon.
