The Star Trac Elite elliptical machine is the first machine to integrate true strength training into a cardio workout. It features an exceptionally smooth glide and high weight limits of 350 pounds. At the push of a button, a user can choose from a pushing or pulling upper-body motion, working two distinctly different muscle groups. Soft Trac Elite pedals provide ultimate shock-absorbing comfort throughout the entire workout.

In fact, the Star Trac Elite is the same as another, cheaper Star Trac elliptical model Pro, but allows the upper body handles to be disengaged (they will not move with the pedals). Another difference is the price, of course. If you think you need this additional feature for $300 extra, it is the machine for you. Otherwise, you should go with cheaper Star Trac Pro cross trainer.
